Auspex Afrique is a uniquely South African company providing field research and support services for environmental impact study projects, particularly focusing on Avifaunal observation and monitoring.

We understand that we are the custodians of Africa’s precious natural wildlife heritage and have a heavy responsibility to ensure that environmental impact projects are based on accurate and thoughtful analysis of the local bird life habitats that may be affected.

Our field researchers are carefully selected and fully trained to ensure they leave only footprints but take away critical data needed to ensure efficacy of these environmental impact studies.

Our Services

Auspex Afrique (AA) is a South African-based subcontractor specializing in field-based avifaunal data collection for renewable energy developments. AA provides trained bird observers under fixed-term contracts to environmental consultancies, contributing to pre-construction ecological assessments for renewable energy facilities. Specific scope of each contract is defined in collaboration with the environmental consultancy and is unique to the data needs for each project.
